The Dallas Mavericks lost a key piece of their organization and an original Mav when Keith Grant retired after 42 years of service in June. Grant joined the organization before their first season in 1980, and he stuck through the 2021-2022 campaign. Grant held several titles throughout his tenure from scout to assistant general manager, and he was a beloved member of the organization.

The Mavs are going to show their appreciation for Grant on Sunday against the Orlando Magic as they will honor him at halftime. Fans may not be familiar with Grant, but he was a key piece of the organization and the front office for more than four decades, and he deserves to be recognized.

The Mavericks host the Magic on the second night of a back-to-back set on Sunday. Not only will supporters be able to catch the tribute to Grant, but 2022 number one overall pick Paolo Banchero will be in the building to face Dallas.
