Dallas Mavericks stud in win over Raptors in Toronto: 2. Tim Hardaway Jr.

THJ struggled in the first half as he went just one of six from the field for three points in over 18 minutes of action. The Mavs were down six after 24 minutes and were just four of 17 from 3-point range. It was a recipe for disaster as Tim Hardaway Jr. continued his cold streak against the Raptors from last season.

The 6’5 wing broke out in a massive way in the second half as he went eight of ten from the field for 22 points. He was six of seven from beyond the arc as he got white-hot and could not miss. It was just what the Mavericks needed to grab the victory.

Hardaway Jr. was massive during a key stretch in the fourth quarter. Luka Doncic headed to the bench to begin the final period after playing the entire third, and Dallas was up just two. By the time he returned three minutes later, the Mavericks had a seven-point edge as THJ knocked down two threes. Hardaway Jr. had 13 in the fourth but none were bigger than those two triples to start it.

Tim Hardaway Jr. is an important scorer and shot-maker for the Dallas Mavericks this season, and he shined against the Raptors to help the team grab its first win.
