Shawn Bradley was at a Texas Legends basketball camp this week and told a story about Michael Jordan that will have you laughing as you watch it.
Bradley played for the Dallas Mavericks from 1997 until 2005 and was one of the most recognizable Mavericks ever. He was a solid center, but Bradley was mostly known for height. Standing at 7'6, Bradley is one of the tallest NBA players of all time and was an excellent rim protector during his time in the league.
Bradley stopped by the basketball camp on June 7 and gave advice and told stories to the campers surrounding him.

Bradley is telling a story from his rookie year and his first time playing against Jordan.
"I'm a rookie, and MJ is MJ, so I know he is going to try to dunk on me as hard as he can to welcome me to the league," Bradley said. "I'm going to try to block the shot."
As Jordan raced up the court towards Bradley, they collided, and Jordan tripped and slid across the floor. Bradley wasn't trying to hurt Jordan, he was trying to cut him off, and his knee hit Jordan's thigh.
Once Jordan's body came to a stop, the entire stadium, full of Bulls fans, started booing the young big man. "They had thought I killed Michael Jordan," Bradley joked. The whole camp busted out laughing at the big man's story.
Bradley is in a wheelchair due to a bicycle accident on January 20, 2021, that resulted in him being paralyzed. It is inspirational that he is in such good spirits after going through something so life-altering. It shows the type of person he is and that he is a true Maverick for life.
