The Dallas Mavericks have preached chemistry and accountability this season as they have climbed to fourth in the Western Conference and have the Utah Jazz on the ropes in their first-round playoff series. Boban Marjanovic may not play the most minutes on the court, but he plays a key role in their locker room.

Everyone loves Bobi from his teammates to coaches to fans. He always brings the laughs and loves to have fun. From riding a minibike inside the arena to cracking jokes, Marjanovic is certain to get a smile out of anyone that crosses his path.

The voting for the 2022 Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year award was released on April 26, and Boban finished second to Bucks guard Jrue Holiday for the honors. Fans can see why Bobi deserved to win below.

Bobi received 48 first-place votes for the award, which was the most, but he finished second based on the point system. Jrue Holiday won the award for the second time, despite receiving nine fewer first-place votes. Holiday received one more top-five vote but dominated Marjanovic in second-place tallies to earn the award. The Bucks guard became the first-ever two-time winner in 2022.

Everyone loves Boban, and finishing second in the Teammate of the Year voting proves that. Dirk Nowitzki won the award in 2017, and he remains the only Mavericks to ever take home the honors. Marjanovic could change that next season if he just appears higher on a few ballots.

Boban Marjanovic is under contract for $3.5 million next season, and fans should expect him to be back with the Dallas Mavericks. He has a close relationship with superstar Luka Doncic and the organization values his locker room presence. Expect Bobi to hand out a few buckets too as he helps the Mavs chase a deep playoff run. Everyone will be cheering for him every step of the way.
