Best NBA prop bets today for Mavericks vs. Nets (Can Josh Green stay hot?)
By Peter Dewey
The Dallas Mavericks are on the road for the second night of a back-to-back against the Brooklyn Nets, and there are several players to target in the prop market in Kyrie Irving’s return to Brooklyn.
Irving is one of those players, but there is another Dallas guard who has been red hot that I’m looking to wager on tonight.
Plus, the Mavericks may struggle on the glass, so bettors should target a Nets big man to clear his rebounds prop.

Let’s dive into the picks for Tuesday night:
Mavericks vs. Nets best NBA prop bets
- Josh Green OVER 10.5 points
- Nicolas Claxton OVER 11.5 rebounds
- Kyrie Irving OVER 5.5 assists
Josh Green OVER 10.5 points
Josh Green has been on fire as of late, scoring 18, 20 and 20 points in his last three games.
Green is taking a healthy 9.8 shots per game (including 5.2 shots per game from 3) while shooting 52.8 percent from the field and 49.1 percent from 3 in his last 11 contests.
The Nets are a weak 3-point defense (24th in opponent 3-point percentage), so this is a favorable matchup for Green to catch-and-shoot on Tuesday. I think 10.5 points is too low for the former first-round pick.
Nicolas Claxton OVER 11.5 rebounds
Nets center Nic Claxton has at least 11 rebounds in 14 of his last 19 games, so he’s going to be in the area of this prop on Tuesday.
Claxton is averaging 19.3 rebounding chances over his last 10 games, and he’s now taken on a Dallas team that started Maxi Kleber at center last night with Dereck Lively II still out.
Dallas comes into this matchup ranking 29th in the NBA in rebounding percentage. The Mavs also gave up 10 rebounds to Mo Bamba in just 18 minutes on Monday.
Kyrie Irving OVER 5.5 assists
I like this assist prop for Irving, who dished out eight dimes in the team’s win on Monday.
While Kyrie is averaging just 5.4 assists per game on the season, he’s cleared this line easily in five of his last six games, averaging 6.7 assists per night.
Brooklyn has some solid wing defenders, so don’t be shocked if they try to force Irving and Luka Doncic to give the ball up tonight.
