19. Golden State Warriors choose Leonard Miller

Miller appears to have a wide draft range, and it is difficult to project where the Canadian teenager will be selected on draft night. He measured at 6’9 with a 7’2 wingspan at the combine after averaging 18.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.8 blocks in 30.6 minutes per game for the G League Ignite. There is a lot to like and a ton of potential.

Teams may be worried about his jumper as he attempted just over two 3-pointers per game last season and shot just 32.7 percent from outside. Can he space the floor and consistently hit open looks? His free throw percentage was strong, and he has the form to improve, but it could take time.

Miller has a ton of defensive potential, but he needs to stay locked in and continue to improve on that end of the floor. The 6’9 forward can guard multiple positions, but he must be fully engaged to reach his full potential.

The Warriors have a massive payroll and could be forced to shed salaries this summer. They need talent on cheap contracts if they are going to keep their contention window open. Miller was impactful playing professionally for the G League Ignite, and he could offer the Dubs some size and versatility in the second unit.
