Updated 2023 NBA Draft order following Kyrie Irving trade

The Dallas Mavericks sent shockwaves through the NBA on Sunday afternoon when they acquired Kyrie Irving in a blockbuster trade. It cost Dallas an unprotected 2029 first-round pick, two starters, and two second-round picks, but they have their co-star for Luka Doncic.
With the trade deadline approaching on Thursday, there will be plenty of shakeups to the 2023 NBA Draft order. It did not happen in the Kyrie Irving trade, but it is worth taking a look at where things stand before the actively flies fast and furious ahead of the deadline.
Here is a current snapshot of who holds what picks in 2023. This will change plenty before draft night. The standings are jam-packed and the lottery will shake up the top 14, but this is where things are on Jan. 5, according to Tankathon.

There are only 58 picks in the 2023 NBA Draft because the Sixers and Nuggets were forced to forfeit their second-round selections. The Dallas Mavericks have traded both of their draft picks, but fans saw last season that they are not afraid to be aggressive if a player that they believe in slips too far.
