The 2022 NBA Draft order is set following Tuesday’s lottery. Picks 15 to 58 were decided based on the regular-season standings with the non-playoff teams eligible to jump up to the first overall selection in the lottery. The top four picks were chosen on May 17 with the rest going in reserve order of their record.
The Dallas Mavericks select 26th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft. They traded their second-round pick to Washington in the Kristaps Porzingis deal, so Dallas has just one pick on June 23.

There are only 58 picks in the 2022 NBA Draft because the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks were forced to forfeit their second-round picks because of tampering violations. They were set to pick 54 and 55, so the teams below them move up to round out the 58 selections.
The draft is a night of possibility for every team. It presents a chance to make a franchise-altering selection that could change its course for years to come. Expect plenty of trade chatter before and during draft night too as every team hopes to improve their roster.
