The Dallas Mavericks are amid one of their hottest stretches in recent memory considering that they have won 12 of their last 14 games.

Last night, Dallas took down the Golden State Warriors by a score of 143-133, and they continue to look like one of the best teams in the NBA. Luka Doncic and Klay Thompson led the way as they combined for 74 points in the win, and Dallas' depth continues to shine bright.

They are getting consistent production across the board, and they have been able to string together all of these wins while battling an illness that has been lingering in the locker room for multiple weeks.

This illness has caused several players to be sidelined and miss games such as Maxi Kleber, Quentin Grimes, P.J. Washington, and Dereck Lively II (for one half), but no one has been hit harder by this bug than Naji Marshall.

Marshall gets honest about not being able to get healthy

Marshall has missed five games over the last two weeks with this illness, and after returning for one game against the Oklahoma City Thunder last week, he is back on the injury report as he missed the Warriors game last night.

This illness will seemingly not leave the Mavericks locker room alone, and Marshall recently tweeted about what has been going on with him and how he's feeling.

"It’s a crazy bug out here I just can’t seem to get right," Marshall said.

Marshall is clearly not feeling great, and it has officially been 20 days since he first tweeted that he wasn't feeling good. He is a bit frustrated with not being able to play and missing so many games, and this has been one of the wildest locker room illnesses that Mavs fans have seen. It's also not the best sign for Marshall and what he's dealing with that he has been sick for nearly three weeks and still can't get healthy, but the Mavs have been handling his absence well.

Dallas is 5-0 without Marshall this season, and everyone has been stepping up to pick up the slack that was left without Marshall playing. It's also worth noting that Marshall was excellent in last week's game against the Thunder in which he played for the first time in over a week, and that's a good sign that he may not need to take tons of time off working on his conditioning once he is feeling better. He picked up right where he left off, and he is quietly stringing together the best season of his young career.

This season for Dallas, Marshall is averaging 11.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 54.9 percent from the field and 30.9 percent from three, and fans can't wait to see him back on the floor. His unstoppable floater, defense, and 3-point shoot have been excellent recently, and his next chance to return to the floor is on Thursday night against the LA Clippers.
