The start of the NBA regular season is less than a week away, and Dallas Mavericks fans are ecstatic to watch their new-look squad take the floor.

Dallas fans were left wanting more after losing in the 2024 NBA Finals to the Boston Celtics, and their new additions should help them remain one of the top teams in the Western Conference once again.

Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving's offensive dominance and growing chemistry combined with the defense and shooting of everyone around them looks like it will be the perfect recipe for success, and Mavs fans won't want to miss any of the action from October all the way until the playoffs.

How to watch Dallas Mavericks games with cable or antenna

After a miserable viewing experience last season, the Mavs have made an effort to make their games more accessible and much more cost-efficient.

Every team in the NBA obviously has games that are broadcasted locally, and any game that isn't broadcasted locally will be shown on national TV.

Local broadcasts

The Mavs are no longer with Bally Sports Southwest, and now most of their games will be shown on KMPX (Channel 29) or WFAA (Channel 4). Dallas agreed to a broadcast rights deal with TEGNA over the offseason, and now Mavs fans will be able to watch games much easier.

While some cable companies don't have Channel 29, it can be accessed through purchasing a digital antenna to connect to your TV. At least 70 games will be broadcast on KMPX or WFAA, with the rest of the games being national TV games.

Fans from inside the DFW metroplex and the surrounding area will have access to both WFAA and KMPX with the purchase of a digital antenna. Games will also be available to fans in Waco, Tyler, Midland-Odessa, Abilene, and San Angelo on TEGNA stations.

Below are some of the cable providers that have KMPX Channel 29.

The Mavs also recently announced that eight more stations in Texas and some of Oklahoma and Louisiana will be added to televise at least 70 of the regular season games over the air. These stations include KFDA 10.2 in Amarillo, KDBC 4.2 in El Paso, KGBT 4.1 for Harlingen-Brownsville, KXNU 10.2 in Laredo, KMYL 14.1 in Lubbock, KXII 12.2 in Sherman, KSHV 45.1 for Shreveport, Louisiana, and Texarkana, and KJBO 3.2 in Wichita Falls and Lawton, Oklahoma.

National broadcasts

This season, the Mavs will have 30 games on national TV.

Nine games will be on ESPN, nine on TNT, seven on NBA TV, and five on ABC.

All eyes will be on the Mavs all season long, and fans not from Texas who also don't have NBA League Pass will have plenty of chances to watch Dallas.

How to watch Dallas Mavericks games without cable or antenna

It is unclear at this moment how available KMPX and WFAA will be without cable or antenna, and the best option remains to purchase NBA League Pass if you're out of market. The Mavs are working on getting an app and streaming service for fans, with details to be announced at a later date.

NBA League Pass

NBA League Pass allows you to watch every out-of-market NBA game, with prices beginning at $109.99 for the entire season. The premium plan can be purchased for $159.99 for the entire season.

Mavericks season outlook and roster information

By the looks of it, the Mavs have the most loaded roster of the entire Luka era this season. The projected starting lineup for the Mavs heading into the 2024-25 season looks to be Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, P.J. Washington, and Dereck Lively II.

Dallas' starting lineup will likely be one of the strongest in the NBA, and they also have some excellent bench pieces. Daniel Gafford, Quentin Grimes, and Naji Marshall will all be crucial role players who will help keep the energy high.

Dallas's deep roster should help give them their best shot at winning the title since Doncic entered the NBA, and you won't want to miss any of the action.
