Tyrell Terry was expected to be the Mavericks leader in Vegas, but his groin injury could hold him out for the remainder of the event.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Denver Nuggets in summer league: Injury updates

Both Terry and Tariq Owens were injured in the Mavs loss to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday. The team has not offered an update on either player, but consider them questionable at best to face the Nuggets. Dallas will likely hold both players out in this summer league contest.

Denver has dealt with health and safety protocol issues in Vegas. First-round pick Nah’Shon Hyland missed the first game but has played in each of the last two. The Nuggets signed extra players to be able to fill the spots and have a massive roster. Who they decide to play on Saturday afternoon will be something to watch.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Denver Nuggets in summer league storyline to watch: Omoruyi time

Eugene Omoruyi has been one of the Mavs’ best players in Las Vegas. The 6’6 wing went for 16 points and six rebounds in the opener against Philly. He followed it up with 16 and eight versus the Jazz on Wednesday night. The 24-year-old is a versatile defender that would help the Texas Legends on both ends of the floor this season.

Omoruyi is going to have more offensive responsibility if both Tyrell Terry and Tariq Owens are out. He is the favorite to earn the Mavericks’ second two-way contract, and fans should be watching him closely on Saturday afternoon.
