Rumors: Dallas Mavericks interested in signing Spencer Dinwiddie
Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News noted the Mavs as a team after Dinwiddie as he becomes an unrestricted free agent. He notes Dallas is among the candidates with the Heat and Nets. In the piece, Dinwiddie is quoted as saying he would be interested in a five-year deal worth $125 million to re-sign in Brooklyn.
The 28-year-old point guard is recovering from a torn ACL. Shams Charania reported that Dinwiddie was cleared for full basketball activities in late June. He should be healthy and ready for training camp.
The Mavs need a ball-handler and playmaking that can ease the pressure placed on Luka Doncic.
