The Dallas Mavericks can re-sign Luka Doncic to a rookie max extension this summer. The 22-year-old is expected to ink the deal, but the organization is facing pressure to build a title contender around the young superstar. Doncic wants to win, and doing so is the key to keeping him in Dallas for his entire career.

Before Luka signs his new deal, he is trying to lead Slovenia to the Olympics for the first time. The 22-year-old is the star among the 2.081 million people in his native country. Slovenia must win the Lithuanian Olympic Qualifying tournament. They are one of six teams in the event with only the champion advancing to Tokyo later this summer.

Luka and Slovenia had their first game on June 30. They were massive favorites against Angola, who dropped their opener to Poland 83-64 on Tuesday. Doncic put on a show in Lithuania on Wednesday morning local time in Dallas. Here is a closer look at his performance.
