The Mavericks listed Maxi Kleber as probable for Game 1 on the NBA’s official injury report. Coach Rick Carlisle seemed hopeful he would be ready to face the Clippers in his post-practice press conference. J.J. Redick is unlikely to play in the first round with a heel injury.

The Clippers have a clean injury report heading into the playoff opener.

Dallas Mavericks vs. LA Clippers Game 1 storyline to watch: Luka vs. Kawhi

The Mavs won two of the three regular-season meetings against the Clippers. Luka Doncic was outstanding versus LA. He dropped 42 points in the final matchup as Dallas won by 16. The Mavericks will need a special performance from their superstar to win Game 1 and take homecourt away from the Clippers.

Kawhi Leonard did not play in the final two regular-season games, but he has dominated the Mavericks. The five-time All-Star averaged 32.8 points per game during last year’s playoff series win. The Klaw will be ready to go in Game 1 against the Mavs.

It will be a heavyweight fight between the two superstars. Expect plenty of fireworks from both sides. Fans will not want to miss Saturday’s game, so be sure to tune in and enjoy.
