The Dallas Mavericks got off to a fast start and rode it to a 133-103  blowout victory over the Golden State Warriors on April 27. Luka Doncic played out of his mind. The Mavs superstar had 39 points in three quarters to key the impressive and important victory.

The win gave Dallas the season series and crucial playoff tiebreaker over Golden State. It also kept the Mavericks in sixth in the Western Conference and one game clear of the Portland Trail Blazers. Teams seven through ten in each conference must take part in the play-in tournament, so finishing in the top six is massive. Expect Luka and company to fight hard to stay there down the stretch.

It was nearly the perfect game for Dallas on Tuesday night, save for the late ejection of Boban Marjanovic. The 7’4 big man made contact with Jordan Poole on a drive to the basket that was upgraded to Flagrant 2 upon review. That foul carries an automatic ejection. Boban apologized to Poole immediately and was not happy with the play. He took to social media after the game with a hilarious response.

The fan-favorite had no intention of injuring Poole on the play. He made a mistake in a blowout game and paid the price for it. Marjanovic took to Instagram with this hilarious response shortly after the win.

Fans can only imagine Bobi was doing a little song and dance to the hit. It was a disappointing end to the night for Marjanovic. He was coming off a solid stint against the Kings and looking to build momentum heading into the playoffs. Sadly, the ejection limited him to just four minutes versus Golden State.

Dallas Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle could call on Boban Marjanovic in the playoffs. The 7’4 big man can change the game and make life difficult in the paint. His skills could come in handy in the postseason, depending on the matchup. Dallas has struggled on the glass this season, which also could create chances for Bobi. Expect the veteran to stay ready and take advantage of any opportunity he gets.
