Dallas Mavericks: 3 must-win games for the rest of the regular season
By Tyler Watts
Dallas Mavericks must-win remaining game: 2. April 27 at Golden State Warriors
The Warriors currently sit tenth in the Western Conference and are struggling. They have lost five of their last six games. If Golden State is going to return to the playoffs, they will have to do so through the play-in tournament.
No team in the NBA wants to face Stephen Curry and the Warriors in a win or go home game. The Dubs won three championships and made the NBA Finals five straight years. If anyone knows how to win an important playoff game, it is Curry.
The Mavericks can help themselves avoid facing the Warriors in the play-in by defeating them at the Chase Center on April 27. Luka Doncic battling it out with Stephen Curry always provides fireworks, so fans will not want to miss this one.
The Mavs and Warrior split their first two meetings this season, meaning the winner of April 27 gets the tiebreaking advantage. That would be massive for play-in seeding if Golden State catches fire down the stretch.
The Mavericks go to the Warriors on the second night of a back-to-back set. They face the surging Kings in Sacramento on April 26. Dallas would love to win both, but the must-win comes on the second night. Will it force the Mavs to adjust? It is something to watch.
