Dallas Mavericks: 3 must-win games for the rest of the regular season

Dallas Mavericks must-win remaining game: 3. April 11 vs. San Antonio Spurs
The rival Spurs are currently eighth in the Western Conference and just one game behind the Mavs. The two teams would currently square off in the play-in tournament if the season ended today. Dallas wants to set the tone for a possible postseason showdown, but there is more on the line too.
The Mavericks are currently atop the Southwest division standings with the Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies within striking distance of the crown. Dallas has not won their division since 2010 but would love to reclaim it in 2021. Winning on April 11 and topping the Grizzlies in their two remaining matchups could seal the division title for the Mavs.
There are no tiebreaking implications on the line as Dallas has won each of the first two meetings against San Antonio this season. They will be looking to make a sweep and gain that important game in the standings on April 11.
The Spurs visit the American Airlines Center on the first night of a back-to-back for the Dallas Mavericks. They host the Philadelphia 76ers on April 12. Losing to San Antonio could mean the Mavs get swept in a back-to-back set. They cannot afford to do that if they plan on climbing into the top six, which makes defeating the Spurs that much more important.
