Dallas Mavericks: Is Tim Hardaway Jr. a long-term answer for the Mavs?
By Tyler Watts
What does Tim Hardaway Jr. bring to the Dallas Mavericks?
The Mavs produced the highest offensive rating in NBA history last season, and Hardaway Jr. was a massive part of their success. He transformed from hitting 35.1 percent on 1,570 catch and shoot 3-point attempts in his career to connecting on over 42 percent with the Mavericks. Part of his success is playing with one of the best ball-handlers in the league, but THJ has also bought into attempting higher percentage looks.
Hardaway Jr. gets to show off a more versatile game as the sixth man. His handle and ability to get to the rim have popped in recent games without Luka on the floor. See a beautiful crossover that shook his defender against the Pacers on March 26.

THJ is the Mavericks’ third-leading scorer. It is no secret that when he is hitting his shots, the Mavs are nearly unstoppable. They have won seven of the 12 games where Hardaway Jr. scored over 20 points this season. The Mavericks need him spacing the floor and knocking down shots to make a deep playoff run this season.
Should the organization be looking at Tim Hardaway Jr. as their sixth man long-term? How does he fit on the Dallas Mavericks?
