The Dallas Mavericks lost their last game in Oklahoma City as they played without Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. That snapped a four-game winning streak for the Mavs that dated back to before the All-Star break.

They travel to face the Denver Nuggets on Saturday evening. It is the second of a back-to-back set for Nikola Jokic and company. The Mavericks need to use that rest to their advantage in the Mile High City.

Here is a closer look at how and what to watch for in Saturday’s contest.

Dallas Mavericks at Denver Nuggets storyline to follow: Boban time?

Last season, Dallas won two of the three meetings against the Nuggets, but none was more memorable than the night the NBA shut down. Boban Marjanovic had 31 points and 17 rebounds including a dominating fourth quarter to lift Dallas to victory.

The Mavericks have split with the Nuggets this season. In the win, Boban had 12 points in 16 minutes to give Dallas a lift off the bench.

Will coach Rick Carlisle deploy Marjanovic tonight to slow down Nikola Jokic and make him work on the defensive end? It could be a winning strategy, especially with the Nuggets on the second of a back-to-back set.
