The Dallas Mavericks are red hot right now as Luka Doncic is making a push to get back into the MVP race. His heroics were on full display against the Boston Celtics on Feb. 23 including an incredible game-winner to lift the Mavs to their six victory in their last seven.

Fans can bet Cleveland Browns’ defensive end and Texas native Myles Garrett was watching. He is a Mavericks fan and has given props to Luka for some of his moves on the football field.

Garrett spent some time during his offseason playing pickup basketball. He sent the highlight video to Mark Cuban on Twitter jokingly asking him if the Mavs are looking for help. Let us take a closer look at the video, and if Garrett would be successful in the NBA.

Check out the video featuring multiple Garrett dunks and jumpers below. Be sure to catch the caption.

Garrett is listed at 6’4 and 272 pounds. He would be the fifth-shortest player on the Mavericks, but only Boban Marjanovic is listed at over 240 pounds. Garrett would have to play that Draymond Green-type undersized forward role in the NBA.

The All-Pro defensive end wsa a three sports star in high school. He was a five-star football recruit and Texas state qualifier in track and field. Garrett also played basketball. He may not be ready to star in the NBA, but his highlights were impressive. The 25-year-old is coming off arguably his best season in NFL. He had 12 sacks as he helped lead the Browns to the playoffs for the first time since 2002.

Myles Garrett will be rooting for the Dallas Mavericks as they continue their playoff push. Stay tuned to The Smoking Cuban for all the latest news, opinions, and analysis on Garrett’s favorite NBA team all year long.
