The Dallas Mavericks are catching fire. No player in the league is hotter than Luka Doncic right now. The 21-year-old superstar has scored 25 or more points in 14 straight games as the Mavs are rebounding from their slow start.

Luka averages 29.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 9.4 assists per game this season. He and Nikola Jokic are the only two players in the top-20 in all three categories. Doncic finished fourth in MVP voting last season and is setting a new career-high in nearly every category in 2021.

Luka received a massive honor on Feb. 18 as he was voted to start his second straight All-Star game. Let us take a closer look at the results and what to expect from him in Atlanta on March 7.

Doncic topped Damian Lillard for the second starting backcourt position in the Western Conference. The two tied in the rankings, but Luka had more fan votes giving him the start. Stephen Curry won the fan vote at the position. The other West starters are LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, and Kawhi Leonard.

The reserves will be announced on Feb. 23 with the game scheduled for March 7 in Atlanta.

James and Kevin Durant are the captains this year. Luka played for Team LeBron last season. It will be interesting to see which team he lands on in 2021. The All-Star game is using the Elam ending for the second straight year, which added plenty of excitement to the contest. Fans will be able to enjoy all the festivities on Sunday, March 7 including the dunk contest, 3-point shootout, and skills competition.

Fans will not want to miss what promises to be a fun and entertaining evening. Luka Doncic only had eight points in his first All-Star game. Expect the Dallas Mavericks superstar to put on a show in 2021. Stay tuned to see which team he lands on and how he performs in the event.
