The Dallas Mavericks have lost three straight games. Superstar Luka Doncic is having an incredible month, but the team has struggled with COVID issues. They finally got Josh Richardson, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Dwight Powell back on Wednesday night, but were blown out by the Utah Jazz.

The Mavs stayed in Utah for the second of their two-game trip. The Jazz have the best record in the league and present problems. It should be another difficult test for Dallas on Friday night.

Here is a look at how and what fans can watch for as the Mavericks face the Jazz for the second time.

Maxi Kleber is out for the Dallas Mavericks. He did not travel with the team to Utah and remains in the league’s health and safety protocols. Kleber is on the only Maverick listed on the NBA’s official injury report.

Both Donovan Mitchell (concussion) and Derrick Favors (back) are listed as questionable for the Jazz. Mitchell and Favors both missed Wednesday’s game. Trent Forrest and Elijah Hughes are also listed as out for the Jazz on Jan. 29.

Dallas Mavericks at Utah Jazz storyline to follow: Adjustments

The Mavs struggled mightily to defend Rudy Gobert on Wednesday night. The All-Star big man had 29 points and 20 rebounds. Dallas needs to figure out a way to slow him down on Jan. 29.

The Jazz dominated the Mavericks in the pick and roll too. Both Jordan Clarkson and Mike Conley went off as Utah scored 116 points on Wednesday night. The Mavs need to make adjustments. It will be interesting to see what coach Rick Carlisle comes up with to stop the Jazz.

Expect another monster performance from Luka Doncic as the Dallas Mavericks attempt to snap their three-game losing streak. Do not miss it.
