The Dallas Mavericks topped the Nuggets in Denver on Jan. 7 behind a 38-point performance from superstar Luka Doncic. Things were trending up as the Mavs were healthy and the return of Kristaps Porzingis was on the horizon.

Three players did not leave Denver with the team following that game as they entered the health and safety protocols. The Mavericks have been without multiple key rotation players in the eight games since, and Monday’s game against the Nuggets will be no different.

Luka has been putting on a show as Dallas has won four times over that stretch. Fans must tune in to see what he can do next.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Denver Nuggets injury updates

Josh Richardson, Dorian Finney-Smith, Maxi Kleber, and Dwight Powell all remain out in the league’s health and safety protocols. Before Saturday’s game, coach Carlisle said that he believed Richardson would be the first to return, but the team did not know when. Expect all four to miss Monday’s game and potentially more.

The Nuggets will be without Greg Whittington as he recovers from knee surgery. He is their only player listed on the NBA’s official injury report.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Denver Nuggets storyline to follow: Battle of MVP candidates

Both Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic are nearly averaging a triple-double per game on the season. They are both near the top of the MVP race with both being held back by their team’s records. Expect that to change, though. The Nuggets have won three straight, and the Mavericks are an elite team when healthy.

Jokic had 38 points and 11 rebounds against the Mavericks on Jan. 7 as Doncic narrowly missed a monster triple-double. Expect another showdown between the two stars on Monday night. Do not miss it.
