Takeaway from Dallas Mavericks win over Pacers: 1. Luka has triple-double number 30
It was not Luka Doncic’s best game. The Pacers double-teamed all night and did their best to keep the Mavericks superstar from getting off shots. Doncic carved them up with his passing ability. He was making plays all over the court, which led to his fifth triple-double of the season. Fans can see his best plays from Wednesday night here.
The triple-double was a record-setter for Doncic. See the history below courtesy of Mavs PR.
Luka is already 14th in NBA history with 30 career triple-doubles. He is only 21 years old and in his third NBA season. He easily has the most in league history before turning 22. Doncic could be the triple-double king by the time he hangs up his sneakers. Oscar Robertson currently holds the record with 181.
The biggest takeaway of the night is even when Luka Doncic does not play his best, he is a threat to have a triple-double and produce outstanding numbers. The superstar is unbelievable. Expect another incredible performance on Friday as the Dallas Mavericks travel to San Antonio to face the Spurs. Fans will not want to miss it, so stay tuned.
