Dallas Mavericks: Trey Burke is excited for the NBA to be back
The Dallas Mavericks brought in Trey Burke for the Walt Disney World restart after Willie Cauley-Stein opted out, and fans saw the best version of the 27-year-old. He averaged 12.0 points and 3.8 assists per during the seeding games and played well enough to jump into the starting five in the playoffs after Kristaps Porzingis was injured. Burke’s speed and quickness unlocked a new dimension for the Mavs dynamic offense.
It is almost impossible to believe that the six-foot guard was a free agent for a month before the NBA suspended play. Burke probably would have stayed one for the rest of the season if not for the novel coronavirus pandemic. He was all over the court for the Mavs and showed off defensive improvements.
Now, Burke is set to be an unrestricted free agent again, and supporters should expect him to have plenty of suitors this offseason. Everyone found out that he is excited about the season being on the horizon. Let us take a closer look.
