Dallas Mavericks: Kristaps Porzingis gives fans an injury update on Instagram
Dallas Mavericks star Kristaps Porzingis was playing the best basketball of his career during the Walt Disney World restart. He averaged 30.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per during the seeding games. KP had two monster performances in the playoffs too before a knee injury ended his season prematurely.
The Unicorn was hoping to avoid surgery on his torn meniscus but it became necessary in October. There has been positivity that he will be ready for the season opener which should take place in late December.
Porzingis did an Instagram question and answer session on Nov. 4 where he updated fans on his injury and more. Let us take a closer look.

KP posted the answers to his Instagram story. One fan asked about the injury. Here is what Porzingis responded.
"“Feeling great, off crutches and walking normal. Been lifting weights and soon will be able to get some shots up.”"
The Unicorn has roughly seven weeks before the season opener. Hopefully, that is enough time to get fully healthy. It is trending towards being a shortened season, so the Mavs will need KP in every game if they plan on grabbing homecourt in the loaded Western Conference.
Porzingis was asked about his expectations for next season, which he gave an unsurprising answer. See it below.
"“Taking the next step in the playoffs as a team and playing at an All-Star level myself. Everything else will take care of itself.”"
It was awesome to see Kristaps Porzingis interacting with the fans plus giving a positive injury update. Mavs fans should expect the best version of KP next season. He has settled into his role in Dallas and is primed to produce monster numbers.
