Dallas Mavericks cannot wait to get Kristaps Porzingis back on the court
Dallas Mavericks big man Kristaps Porzingis was playing the best basketball of his career during the Walt Disney World restart. The Unicorn averaged 30.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per during the seeding games. He was aggressive in attacking the rim and had his jumper dialed in.
The success carried over to the postseason. KP was playing in his first NBA playoff games, but the LA Clippers had no answers. Dallas was leading with Porzingis at 14 points and six rebounds when he was ejected in the third quarter of Game 1 for picking up a cheap second technical. KP came back with 23 points and seven boards in the Game 2 win before having 34 and 13 and almost leading the Mavericks to victory after Luka Doncic injured his ankle in Game 3.
That masterful performance turned out to be the final game of Porzingis’ season. The 25-year-old injured his meniscus in Game 1 but played through it for two contests. Things got worse before Game 4, which forced the Mavs to rule him out. Porzingis had surgery after Dallas was eliminated.

It is good to see Porzingis getting out and about on a beautiful day. He is using crutches and wearing a significant brace, though. Fans should not worry about the injury. KP will be back and creating havoc for the opposition in short order.
Dallas Mavericks fans should be excited about Kristaps Porzingis in 2021. He has adjusted to his role with the team, and fans should see the best version yet in the upcoming season. That is scary given how good the Unicorn was with the Knicks. Fans will not want to miss a second of the action, so stay tuned.
