Dallas Mavericks share incredible Kristaps Porzingis photos

The Dallas Mavericks convinced Kristaps Porzingis to take on a new role. In his All-Star season in New York, KP posted up 5.6 times per game which ranked fourth in the NBA. The Mavs dropped that number to 3.0 a night as Porzingis embraced becoming a roll man and floor spacer. Even with the adjustment period, the Unicorn posted the second-highest effective field goal percentage of his career.

The Mavericks are expecting a career-year from Porzingis in 2021. During his final 20 games, he averaged 26.3 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game on 46.1 percent shooting from the field and 37.1 percent on his threes. The organization believes he can post those numbers over a full season.

Porzingis missed the Mavericks final three playoff games after tearing his meniscus, but he should be fully healthy to begin the 2021 season. The massive question is what role does KP play? The Mavs used him primarily at the four until Dwight Powell’s injury. Porzingis was unstoppable at the five. With Powell back, does coach Rick Carlisle shift KP to the four or keep him playing center? It will be something to watch during training camp.
