Dallas Mavericks: See how Seth Curry played in celebrity Madden tournament

Dallas Mavericks guard Seth Curry caught fire when the calendar flipped to 2020. He averaged 15.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 27.2 minutes per over 33 regular-season games. The 30-year-old did it all while shooting 53.5 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from 3-point range on 5.5 attempts per game. Those numbers are absolutely incredible.

Curry is one of the best and most underrated shooters in the NBA. Few give him credit among the league’s elite. That is a shame because he currently sits second all-time in 3-point percentage.

The 30-year-old guard took on another challenge on Friday as he faced off against Golden State Warriors forward Eric Paschall in the first round of a celebrity Madden Tournament. Let us take a closer look at how the game shook out.

Curry chose the Baltimore Ravens as his team while Paschall was controlling the Houston Texans. It was a shaky start for Curry as he threw interceptions on each of his first two possessions. Paschall capitalized with two touchdowns but missed one extra point to be up 13-0. Then, Curry drove the ball all the way down to the three-yard line before throwing his third interception with Lamar Jackson.

The Mavericks guard righted the ship with an interception of his own before driving for a touchdown. Paschall got the ball back but failed to score before halftime to take the 13-7 lead into the break.

Curry got a second interception to start the second half. On the ensuing drive, he converted a key fourth down early, but the possession ended with a missed field goal.

Paschall drove for the game-clinching touchdown with just over one minute remaining on the clock. Curry got a touchdown in the final seconds, but it was not enough.

He was bounced in the first-round 21-14 by Eric Paschall. Fans can watch the entire replay of the game here. It was fun to see Curry battling it out on the controls, but he fell short of a victory.

The best is still yet to come for Seth Curry on the basketball court. He was outstanding for the Dallas Mavericks this season. Expect another step forward in 2021. It will certainly be fun to watch, so do not miss it.
