Dallas Mavericks: Willie Cauley-Stein gets fans hyped with an impressive dunk
The Dallas Mavericks traded for veteran center Willie Cauley-Stein after Dwight Powell suffered his season-ending Achilles tear. They were hoping he could fill in as a roll man and rim protector. Things never quite got going for WCS in Dallas, though.
Cauley-Stein struggled to find a consistent role as Kristaps Porzingis thrived playing at the five. The 27-year-old missed some time too. It looked to all be coming together just before the shutdown. Cauley-Stein opted out of the Orlando restart for personal reasons.

Cauley-Stein had a productive final game before the NBA suspended play back in March. He finished with six points and seven rebounds in 10.5 minutes of action. Trill also threw down this incredible dunk.

Cauley-Stein slamming it over Paul Millsap and Nikola Jokic was one of the Mavericks’ best dunks of the 2019-2020 season. Fans would love to see what the 27-year-old can do after a full training camp with Luka Doncic and the Mavs. There could be plenty more monster dunks in store.
The future is bright in Dallas. The Mavs will be looking to make some moves this offseason. Improving their roster and jumping into the ranks of title contenders is a priority. Finding the pieces will be no easy task, though. Stay tuned to The Smoking Cuban for all the latest offseason happenings plus analysis on the Dallas Mavericks fans will not want to miss.
