Dallas Mavericks versus LA Clippers Game 6 scheduled for Sunday
The Dallas Mavericks are coming off one of their worst games of the season. The series was tied at two games apiece, but the Clippers did not miss on Tuesday as they took the advantage. Dallas must-win game six or their season is over.
The game was scheduled to take place on Thursday but was postponed by player protests. The NBA players have agreed to resume play on Saturday.
Here is a look at the particulars for when the Mavs and Clippers will play game six plus a few things to keep an eye on between now and tipoff.
Dallas Mavericks versus LA Clippers Game 6 scheduled for Sunday
The Mavs will return to action on Aug. 30 at 3:30 p.m. ET or 2:30 p.m. CT. Fans can watch the game on ESPN or Fox Sports Southwest-Dallas.
The Mavs had four players listed as questionable for Thursday’s postponed game. Luka Doncic and Trey Burke have been fighting through ankle sprains. The extra rest could have been a positive for both players. Dorian Finney-Smith is dealing with injuries to both hips. Expect him to play as well. The massive question mark is Kristaps Porzingis.
The Unicorn missed the last two games with right knee soreness. Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle made it seem like he was unlikely to play. The extra time for rest and rehab could make it possible for Porzingis to get back on the court. Fans should not count on it, though. Continue to monitor his status until tipoff on Sunday.
The Mavs will need Luka Doncic to have a monster performance to extend the series. The 21-year-old had a 43-point triple-double in game four. Can he repeat the heroics in game six? Expect him to be at the top of his game as Doncic tries to keep the Dallas Mavericks season alive. Do not miss it.
