Why Dallas Mavericks star Kristaps Porzingis should make All-Seeding Games Team: 3. Scoring

Fans know that scoring is always a key to these honors. Getting the ball in the cup drives who is selected.

KP was one of six players to average over 30 points per game in the bubble. His 30.5 tied with Devin Booker for the fourth-best mark. Porzingis is the only center in the top ten in scoring.

The 25-year-old was more aggressive on both ends of the floor in Orlando. He was attacking the basket and trying to get easy buckets. That allowed KP to hit 47.6 percent from the field and take 9.2 free throws per game. Those are massive increases over his season-long numbers. The Unicorn averaged 5.0 foul shots a night for the year.

The aggression may have worked against him on the defensive end. Porzingis fouled out three times in six games. It was in crunch time of close games against the Kings, Bucks, and Trail Blazers too. The Mavericks battled to win two of those three games.

KP had his full skill set on display in Orlando. Being the only big man to drop 30 points per game should get him on the All-Seeding Games Team. That is far from the only reason why he will make it, though.
