The Dallas Mavericks get in work on July 6 ahead of NBA Disney

The Dallas Mavericks are just days away from departing for Orlando. They have been doing mandatory individual workouts at their practice facility since July 1. The Mavs will not begin full-team practices until arriving at Disney World.

They have been lucky so far. The Mavericks reported last week that nobody in their traveling party has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Multiple teams have been forced to shut their practice facilities since mandatory workouts began.

The Mavs are still getting after it. Here are a few snapshots from Monday’s sessions.

Dallas Mavericks held individual workouts on July 6 to prep for Orlando

Fans got a glimpse of eight Mavericks including Luka Doncic working out on Monday. See the photos below.

The Mavs are going to be ready. Most of their players were getting in some work before mandatory workouts started. Dallas also has the advantage of having two young stars that should be able to play themselves into shape quickly. Both had a chance to get fully healthy during the hiatus too.

It has been strange watching the Mavs only doing individual workouts. Most players are happy just to be back on the court. After testing in Orlando, training camp 2.0 will begin in full force. The Mavericks have three scrimmages in the buildup. Their first game that counts is on July 31 against the Houston Rockets. The Mavs are hoping to quickly clinch their playoff berth and keep climbing in the standings.

Hopefully, the NBA’s restart gets off the ground in Orlando. There are still multiple roadblocks to clear. Keeping everyone safe and healthy is important. On-court injuries are a worry after the four-month break too. Hopefully, everyone stays healthy in Orlando.

The Smoking Cuban will have all the Dallas Mavericks news and opinions on NBA Disney, so supporters should stay locked in on the site during the restart.
