The Dallas Mavericks continue to prepare for the NBA’s restart in Orlando. In a normal year, the league would be in the midst of the NBA Finals. 2020 has been anything but, though. After a four-month suspension because of the novel coronavirus, 22 teams are preparing for the conclusion of the season. It will all take place in Orlando without fans. The restart will be unique.

July 1 was the first day teams were allowed to have mandatory workouts. The Mavs are only doing individual work at their practice facility. That will continue until the team arrives in Orlando next week. Fans can see the highlights from day one of the mandatory workouts here.

The team posted pictures of eight players including Luka Doncic in the midst of their workout. Fans can see the shots below.

The team did not stop there, though. They cut together a short video of everyone getting after it on Thursday.

Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks will be ready for Orlando. The team believes they can make a deep playoff run. Expect them to be in shape and prepared for their first game on July 31 against the Houston Rockets. The Mavs know winning six of their seeding games likely moves up them up in the standings with a fantastic shot to pull off a victory in the first round of the playoffs.

Stay healthy in Orlando will be key. That is one more reason why the Mavericks getting in work now is a positive sign. The team that keeps everyone on the court will likely leave Disney World with the championship. The young Mavericks have a legit chance, so stay tuned.
