The Dallas Mavericks are missing basketball as much as fans are these days. It has been nearly two months since the NBA season was halted. The Mavs are keeping their facility closed until it is safer for players to return. There is still hope that the season resumes at some point, though.

Everybody could use a bit of a pickup in these difficult times. Mavericks basketball often provides that. It cannot right now, so the organization is attempting to do it in different ways.

On Friday, the Mavs posted photos of Luka Doncic, Boban Marjanovic, and Dwight Powell playing with a puppy. Check out the adorable snaps below.

Doncic went back to his native Slovenia to ride out the worldwide pandemic. Everyone is waiting to hear what comes next. Commissioner Adam Silver does not seem to be in any rush to make a firm decision on the remainder of the 2019-2020 season.

Luka was on pace to have his first playoff experience this year. The superstar needs to be in that atmosphere. It is usually a slow build to winning a championship. Doncic and the Mavericks would like that to begin in 2020.

One thing fans can be certain of is Luka Doncic is going to keep improving. The 21-year-old is already one of the NBA’s best players. The sky is truly the limit, though. Doncic could be the face of this decade. Hey, they do not call him “Wonder Boy” for no reason.
