The Dallas Mavericks took on the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2011 Western Conference Finals. Here is how to watch games one and three on May 4.

The Dallas Mavericks are not playing live games right now. The novel coronavirus halted the NBA season just as the playoff races were heating up. The league hopes to finish up the year, but no decision has been made.

In the meantime, Fox Sports Southwest is airing all 16 wins from the Dallas Mavericks championship run in 2011. They have defeated the Blazers and Lakers thus far.

Monday begins the Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. It was a tough matchup. The Thunder had Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, and Serge Ibaka that year. Each of them was under 23 years old too. The Mavs were a veteran team against a young hungry squad.

Fans can watch game one at 7 p.m. CT with game three immediately following at 9 p.m. on May 4.

Why watch

Game one is a must-watch. It is one of the best contests of Dirk Nowitzki’s career. The Mavs GOAT drops 48 points on 15 field goal attempts. He finishes a perfect 24 of 24 from the free throw line with six rebounds, four assists, and four blocks. Nowitzki cannot miss.

Kevin Durant nearly matches him for OKC. The young star drops 40 points on 18 field goal attempts. He ends up 18 of 19 from the foul line.

The Mavericks grit out game three in Oklahoma City. It is a low scoring game. The Mavs play beautiful defense in the first quarter and hold the Thunder to 12 points. That sets Dallas up. They never trailed in the game despite a strong fourth quarter comeback attempt.
