The Dallas Mavericks fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder despite 38 points from Luka Doncic in the regular season finale of the NBA 2K20 simulation.

The Dallas Mavericks were supposed to wrap up their regular season at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder on April 15. In a normal year, they would be turning the page to the playoffs. Who knows how those final 15 regular season games would have played out, but postseason basketball would be back in Dallas after a three-year drought.

This season was anything, but normal. The novel coronavirus suspended play on March 12. The final month of the regular season and the playoffs remain in limbo. The NBA is buying time and hoping they can crown a champion in 2020. Time will tell if that is possible.

The folks at NBA 2K decided to run a simulation as if the season kept going. They have been doing the scheduled games each night and virtually deciding the winners. Here is a look at how the Dallas Mavericks versus Oklahoma City Thunder shook out in NBA 2K20.
