The Dallas Mavericks traveled to Memphis and lost to the Grizzlies in the NBA 2K20 simulation of the regular season. Here is a look at more.
The Dallas Mavericks were supposed to take on the Grizzlies on Friday in Memphis. That game would have had massive playoff implications. The Grizzlies are trying to hold on to the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Dallas would have been attempting to determine their seed and grab home-court in the first round.
Unfortunately, that game did not take place, and it may never happen. The NBA suspended the regular season on March 11. There is no guarantee that play will resume at all. The league is looking at an extended hiatus. Nobody wants to miss out on playoff basketball, but health and safety are more important.

Mavs vs. Grizzlies in 2K20
They are not playing live games on the court, but NBA 2K decided to do a simulation of the remainder of the regular season. That meant the Mavericks took on the Grizzlies on Friday. Fans can watch a replay of the entire game courtesy of the NBA’s Twitch.
The Mavs fell behind early and trailed by six at the end of the first quarter. Memphis expanded the lead to 16 at the half. The Grizzlies let the momentum carry them to a 115-108 victory on their home floor.
The loss dropped the Mavericks to 47-30 in the simulation with just five games left in the regular season. That means the team has won seven of the ten games done by NBA 2K20. The game clearly thinks highly of the Mavericks.
Hopefully, the season resumes at some point this summer. Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis need that valuable playoff experience. It would be good to have basketball back in our lives too.
