Dallas Mavericks guard Jalen Brunson gave fans an update on his injured shoulder and more as he answered questions in a Twitter take over.

The Dallas Mavericks were supposed to play the Timberwolves in Minnesota on Wednesday. There would have been just seven games left on the regular season schedule entering the contest. The Mavs would be preparing for the playoffs and attempting to lock in their seed in an alternate reality.

Instead, the NBA season was suspended on March 11 because of the novel coronavirus. There are no live games to enjoy for the foreseeable future.

Fox Sports Southwest is airing the Mavericks’ best games from this season in place of the live action. The Mavs are letting a player take over their Twitter to answer questions from fans during the games. Jalen Brunson was on the account on April 1. Here is a look at some of the best moments.

Injury update

Brunson injured his shoulder on Feb. 22. The 23-year-old guard had surgery days later. A fan asked how he was doing.

Coach Rick Carlisle quickly ruled JB out for the season after the surgery. Hopefully, he can be ready by opening night of next season.

Football talk

Brunson is an Eagles fan, so he usually makes friendly wagers with other Mavericks players when they face the Cowboys. A fan asked him about football.

That is the perfect response. Hopefully, everything is back to normal and we are all enjoying live sports again.

Brunson also answered questions about his favorite shoe, his top Mavericks jersey, and more. Check out the Mavs Twitter to see all of his responses.
