The Dallas Mavericks are letting fans choose the team’s all-time starting five. Here are the four candidates for the second place in the lineup.

The Dallas Mavericks are not playing on the court right now, but that is not stopping fans from being part of the action. The team is running a vote on their Twitter to select the Mavs all-time starting five.

Voting for the second position began on Tuesday. The initial tally also closed. We will take a look at the new candidates plus view the results for the first member of the lineup.

The four new candidates are Rolando Blackman, Michael Finley, Jason Terry, and Jim Jackson. Fans can vote here. The poll closes on April 1, so get out there fast.

Who should you vote for?

The Mavericks gave supporters another tough decision. All four men are more than deserving.

Jim Jackson was drafted by the Mavs in 1992. He came out strong. Jackson averaged over 19 points per game in three of his first four seasons. The Mavs traded him to the Nets in 1997, though. He only spent four and a half seasons in Dallas.

Jason Terry was drafted by the Hawks but traded to Dallas in 2004. The Jet helped the Mavericks win the championship in 2011. He is certainly a Mavericks legend and is probably the greatest sixth man in the team’s history.

Michael Finley was a two-time All-Star for the Mavs. He averaged over 20 points per game for five straight seasons. Finley was a fantastic two-way player for nine seasons with the Mavericks.

Rolando Blackman is one of only three Mavericks to have their jersey number retired. He was a four-time All-Star that averaged over 19 points per game for eight straight seasons in Dallas.

Fans cannot go wrong with any option, but I would select Blackman.
