Dallas Mavericks forward Justin Jackson shared one of his go-to playlists for supporters. Check it out courtesy of the Mavs Twitter.
The Dallas Mavericks are off right now. The NBA has suspended play in an unprecedented move that nobody saw coming. Their goal is health and public safety. They are trying to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.
For more information about COVID-19, visit the CDC’s website or the website for your state’s Department of Health.
One player that could benefit from the hiatus is Justin Jackson. He has struggled with his shot all season. It is difficult to explain. Virtually all of Jackson’s 3-point attempts this season are catch and shoot and classified as open or wide open by NBA Stats. He is only connecting on 29.8 percent of his threes, though.
Last season, Jackson shot 35.5 percent from downtown. He is a capable shooter that has been in a season-long funk. Perhaps the suspension in play can snap him out of it.
Jackson’s playlist
The Mavs helped Justin Jackson celebrate his 25th birthday on March 28. His teammates put together a video wishing him well. They also released his playlist which fans can see below.
Fans should check out all of the songs here. Hopefully, you enjoy the music courtesy of Justin Jackson.
There is no word yet on when play will resume. Players and fans are hungry for basketball to be back. The time off will allow the Dallas Mavericks to get healthy and be ready for a playoff push.
They could make some noise come the postseason. Luka Doncic at 100 percent is capable of averaging a 30-point triple-double every night. Add in a fresh Kristaps Porzingis surrounded by knockdown shooters, and that is a special recipe. It should be a fun run.
