Kristaps Porzingis takes over the Mavericks Twitter

The Dallas Mavericks traded for Kristaps Porzingis in Jan. 2019. He was still rehabbing from his ACL surgery. KP did not play his first game in Mavs uniform until the opening night of this season. There was naturally some rust early on.

Porzingis was finally hitting his stride just before the suspension. He had the confidence to attack the basket again. That coupled with regaining his 3-point stroke made the Unicorn one of the most dangerous players in the NBA. Porzingis has been playing more at the five and running pick and rolls with Luka Doncic. It has taken the Mavericks historically great offense to another level.

Kristaps Porzingis has stepped up when Luka has been out too. Fox Sports Southwest aired one of his best games on Sunday. The Mavericks traveled to Milwaukee and defeated the Bucks without Doncic in the lineup on Dec. 16. KP had 26 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks while leading Dallas to a victory.

The Unicorn gave the nod to their recent home win over Zion Williamson and the Pelicans. It was an intense game that had a playoff atmosphere. Porzingis finished with 34 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocks in the victory as well.
