Dallas Mavericks center Boban Marjanovic came to rescue for the team twice this season. See how he did it and the reaction from his teammates here.
Dallas Mavericks fans love Boban Marjanovic. His playing time may be limited, but he makes a massive impact on the court. The 7’4 center is a problem in the paint on both ends of the floor.
Marjanovic is also one of the funniest Mavericks. From his show with Tobias Harris to acting in John Wick 3, the 31-year-old has star power too. Boban is a larger than life personality.
The Dallas Mavericks remembered how Boban Marjanovic got the team out a sticky situation on Feb. 10. They were hosting the Utah Jazz. Boban never entered the game, but he came off the bench for a save after the ball got stuck behind the basket. Watch the hilarious video on the situation below.

It is not just his personality and ability to save the ball, though. Marjanovic drew a start in place of Kristaps Porzingis in the final game before the NBA suspended play. He rewarded coach Rick Carlisle and the Mavericks with a monster performance. Boban finished with 31 points, 17 rebounds, and two steals in a season-high 31.5 minutes
He got the upper hand on Nikola Jokic and helped the Mavs walk away with a 113-97 win.
It will be interesting to see what happens when play resumes. The players will need time to practice and ramp back into shape. Marjanovic could be a difference-maker in the playoffs. He may control the paint against players like Jokic and Rudy Gobert. That could give Dallas a massive advantage. Coach Carlisle will have the confidence to put Marjanovic in if the situation arises.
