The Dallas Mavericks threw down some wild dunks this season so far. Here is a highlight video of them to celebrate the first day of spring.

The Dallas Mavericks are off right now. The NBA has suspended games. The Mavs have had their practice facility closed this week too. The team is taking time off and practicing social distancing to help stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.

For more information about COVID-19, visit the CDC’s website or the website for your state’s Department of Health.

The Mavericks not playing right now would have been unthinkable just a few weeks ago. The players have been active on social media during the break. They are optimistic the season will resume this summer. That is no guarantee, though.

That should not stop us from celebrating what has been an incredible season for the Mavs so far. They won 40 games and are on pace to make the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

The front office has built the team around Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. The two Mavericks stars have shooters playing off them to space the floor. That has left the rim wide open. Dallas has taken full advantage by producing some monster dunks. Fans can see a highlight video here to celebrate the first day of spring.

The Mavericks have the best offensive rating in NBA history. They are better than Michael Jordan’s Bulls, the recent Golden State dynasty, the showtime Lakers, and every other team. That is amazing.

Now consider that both Luka and KP should only improve too. The Mavs are building something special. This is just the start of it. Expect the front office to continue adding pieces to round out the roster into a yearly title contender.
