The Mavericks not playing right now would have been unthinkable just a few weeks ago. The players have been active on social media during the break. They are optimistic the season will resume this summer. That is no guarantee, though.

That should not stop us from celebrating what has been an incredible season for the Mavs so far. They won 40 games and are on pace to make the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

The front office has built the team around Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. The two Mavericks stars have shooters playing off them to space the floor. That has left the rim wide open.
