Mavericks fans are hopeful basketball returns this season. Commissioner Adam Silver offered updates in an interview with Rachel Nichols on March 18.

The Dallas Mavericks won their final game before the NBA suspended the season on March 11. They defeated the Nuggets in a potential playoff preview. Things changed that night, though. From Rudy Gobert testing positive for the coronavirus to the league halting the season, it quickly reached into unprecedented territory.

Everyone is left in limbo at this point. Nobody knows when or if the season is going to resume. It is all a waiting game.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver went on ESPN for an interview with Rachel Nichols on Wednesday. Fans can see part of it here.

Silver discussed at length what the league is examining in terms of conditions to restart the games. He also laid out the three possibilities they are considering including playing games with or without fans and a possible charity event to give supporters something to enjoy during this difficult time.

Silver did not say the season would definitely resume, but the league appears committed to making it happen if at all possible.

The commissioner discussed a number of other topics in the wide-ranging interview. Fans can read more about it here.

Free League Pass

The NBA is also offering fans free League Pass until April 22. That allows everyone to watch every game from this season plus classic contests.

Everyone should take advantage of the opportunity and enjoy some of Luka Doncic’s best games of the season. I’d recommend starting with his 42-point triple-double against the Spurs on Nov. 18. Also, consider the Mavericks win over the Lakers on Dec. 1.
