By Tyler Watts
Dallas Mavericks star Kristaps Porzingis had 38 points in their win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 1. Here is a look at that game.
The Dallas Mavericks are in the midst of a four-game road trip. On Sunday they traveled to Minneapolis to face the Minnesota Timberwolves. It was the first of a back-to-back as the Mavs play in Chicago on Monday evening.
Luka Doncic was ruled out about an hour before tipoff. He is dealing with a thumb injury. Doncic played through it the last two games, but it was clearly impacting him. No word yet on how long Luka will be out.
The Mavericks grabbed an early lead and never looked back on Sunday. They defeated the Timberwolves 111-91 in Minnesota.
Seth Curry had another massive night as he scored 27 points on 17 field goal attempts. He chipped in four assists and three 3-pointers made in his 30 minutes of action.
Kristaps Porzingis was the player of the game, though. He finished with 38 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, one steal, five blocks, and six 3-pointers made. KP was 13 of 25 from the field as well.
It was a vintage performance from The Unicorn. He had his outside shooting dialed in, and that allowed him to attack in the painted area. Porzingis was also protecting the rim and altering shots on the other end of the floor. Here are his highlights from Sunday’s win.
