Odds
Injury update
The Mavericks will be without Dwight Powell (Achilles), but everyone is healthy and ready to go. The All-Star break came at a good time. The team is rested and prepared to attack the final 27 games of the regular season.
The NBA’s official injury report lists Al-Farouq Aminu (knee) and Jonathan Isaac (knee) as out for Friday’s game. D.J. Augustin is questionable with a knee injury of his own.

Storyline to follow: Vucevic vs. Porzingis
Expect the Dallas Mavericks to come out playing small on Friday night. They have seen the best from Kristaps Porzingis by using him at the five and letting him be the pick and roll partner for Luka Doncic. Coach Rick Carlisle will want to continue that down the stretch.
That creates a heavyweight matchup against Nikola Vucevic of the Orlando Magic. Vuc is averaging 19.0 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game this season. He was an All-Star in 2019 and remains a difficult cover.
It will be interesting to see the two big men matchup on Friday night. Vucevic will attempt to be physical and dominate KP in the paint. Porzingis will likely try to get the Magic center out on the perimeter and make him uncomfortable. It will be a matchup to watch.
