Clippers add an important piece in Morris

The LA Clippers traded for forward Marcus Morris. It was a three-team deal featuring the Knicks and Wizards. The Clippers sent out Moe Harkless, their 2020 first round pick and Jerome Robinson. They also received Isaiah Thomas, who they plan on buying out.

Morris gives the Clippers another versatile forward that improves them on both ends of the floor. He was having an incredible season in New York. He shot 43.9 percent from 3-point range and is scoring 19.6 points per game. Morris will give the Clippers another bucket getter plus allows them to switch everything on defense.

The trade makes them favorites to win the NBA title. The Clippers have the ability to be one of the best offenses and defenses in the league.

The Dallas Mavericks face LA one more time this regular season. A potential playoff matchup looms as well. The Clippers will give the Mavs problems. They have a plethora of options to use against Luka Doncic. The March 16 game will be worth circling on the calendar.
