Dallas Mavericks guard Seth Curry will miss the Feb. 3 game against the Indiana Pacers with a knee injury. Find out the latest here.

The Dallas Mavericks picked up a win over the Hawks on Saturday evening. They used a stellar team effort as both Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis sat out.

Doncic will remain on the sidelines for the four games in the coming week. The Mavs need Jalen Brunson to continue stepping up. They were hoping from additional production from Seth Curry too, but that won’t happen on Monday.

Curry was injured during the fourth quarter against the Hawks. He was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game. The news got worse on Sunday as the Mavericks listed him as out for Monday’s game on the first official injury report with left knee tightness. Expect Coach Rick Carlisle to provide an update on Feb. 3.

More. Can Porzingis and Cauley-Stein share the floor?

Who steps up?

The Dallas Mavericks are suddenly light on guards to play against the Pacers. Carlisle should start Jalen Brunson and Tim Hardaway Jr. in the backcourt on Monday. That leaves J.J. Barea and Delon Wright to play with the second unit. The only other option would be Courtney Lee who has seen 11 minutes of action since Dec. 17.

Brunson has played extremely well during Luka’s absences. He continues to produce massive stat lines and keep the Mavs in games. Barea will have to step up and command the second unit. Expect to see plenty of pick and rolls with Willie Cauley-Stein against the Pacers.

Wright will draw the task of defending Victor Oladipo. The Pacers star is working his way back from a quad injury that sidelined him for nearly one year. He only played 22 minutes in their last game. It would not be surprising to see Wright mirror his playing time and draw the task of defending the All-Star guard.

The Smoking Cuban will continue to provide updates on Seth Curry’s injury as they become available. Hopefully, it is nothing serious, and he is back in the Dallas Mavericks’ next game. Stay tuned.
